Lita L. Apodaca, 102, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2012. She was born Feb. 8, 1909 in La Mesilla, NM to Manuel and Clara Gonzalez Lucero. She enjoyed traveling and socializing with friends but her passion was for her son. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Lita L. Apodaca, 102, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2012. She was born Feb. 8, 1909 in La Mesilla, NM to Manuel and Clara Gonzalez Lucero. She enjoyed traveling and socializing with friends but her passion was for her son. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Lita is survived by her loving son Bobby Rodriguez and his wife Daisy of Las Cruces and by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her two husbands Roberto Rodriguez and David Apodaca and three sisters Pablita, Josefina and Lupe. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7 pm. Lita's funeral mass to celebrate her life is at 10 am on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church with Fr. Tom Smith officiating. Rite of Committal will be at Masonic Cemetery.
