Lola Juarez, 94, of Las Cruces, NM, entered eternal rest on February 22, 2022 at home. Lola was born in Fierro, NM on February 25, 1927, to Carlos and Lucia Madrid. She was one of nine children and grew up in the Fierro/Hanover area. She married her husband, Vicente Juarez, on March 26, 1927. They resided in Silver City, NM with their sons, David and Ernie. The couple later relocated to Tucson, AZ. Eventually, they settled in Las Cruces, NM. She was married to Vicente for nearly 65 years. She was a loving wife, and he was a devoted husband, continuously by her side. Lola was a devout Catholic and a firm believer that one day she would pass from this earth to reunite with all those she loved. Most importantly, she believed that she would be with her Heavenly Father, the Virgin Mary, and the angels and saints. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life and give thanks that we were blessed to have had her here with us for so long. There is so much to say about Lola and about what a blessing she was to her family and friends. In addition to having been a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter, and grandmother, she was an excellent cook. She loved to crochet and to do needlepoint. She enjoyed music, especially the music of Vicente Fernandez. She enjoyed her telenovelas and watching basketball and baseball. In her younger days, she loved going to dances and socializing. She was fun loving and had a feisty spirit. One of her greatest joys in life was being a grandmother. She prayed with dedication and devotion. Family members and friends would often ask her to pray for them. They believed that her prayers were heard and answered more often. Maybe she did have an inside line to God. Lola is survived by her husband Vicente Juarez; son David Yniguez; son Ernie Juarez and wife, Noami; granddaughter Korinne Yniguez and Fiance, Oscar Najar; granddaughter Valerie Rivera and husband, Ron; grandsons Jason and Ryan Juarez; granddaughter Michelle Gonzalez and husband, Edgar; great grandchildren Gabrielle Pacheco, Alaina Rivera, and Matteo Gonzalez. She was preceded in death by her parents Carlos and Lucia, sisters Nora, Jessie, Mary, Manuela, Jenny, and an infant brother. She was also preceded in death by her daughter in law, Florence Mae Yniguez. Cremation has been entrusted to Getz Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 3:00 pm on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Getz Funeral Home. The Funeral Liturgy will immediately follow. Inurnment of her ashes will take place at a later date in Silver City, NM. She will be missed greatly, but we are consoled by the fact that she is at restful peace and celebrating her new eternal life with the God that she was so devoted to. Service Information
