Lola Spruell Howard of Las Cruces and former resident of Downsville, LA entered eternal life the morning of April 12, 2005 at the age of 93, after a brief illness. She spent her later years making quilts and being a loving mother to her daughter. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Howard will be forever in our hearts and minds. Lola Spruell Howard of Las Cruces and former resident of Downsville, LA entered eternal life the morning of April 12, 2005 at the age of 93, after a brief illness. She spent her later years making quilts and being a loving mother to her daughter. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Howard will be forever in our hearts and minds. She is survived by her daughter Lewanna Gayle Pippen and her husband Tom of Las Cruces, NM; two granddaughters and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Howard; son Dick Howard; two sisters Robbye Bennett and Mrytle Meeks; three brothers Leon, Willie Mac and Ellis and by her mom and dad. Graveside Services were conducted April 15, 2005 at the Greer Cemetery in Rayville, Louisiana. PDF Printable Version
