LORETTA HILDA AMATI JANUARY 26, 1926 - OCTOBER 11, 2022 Loretta Hilda Amati of Las Cruces left her earthly home for her heavenly home on October 11, 2022. She was born to Albert Alexander Kottke and Loretta Burroughs in Trenton, New Jersey on January 26, 1926. LORETTA HILDA AMATI JANUARY 26, 1926 - OCTOBER 11, 2022 Loretta Hilda Amati of Las Cruces left her earthly home for her heavenly home on October 11, 2022. She was born to Albert Alexander Kottke and Loretta Burroughs in Trenton, New Jersey on January 26, 1926. Loretta was preceded in death by her son, Tito Thomas Amati; her husband Tito Amati Jr.; her parents Albert and Loretta Kottke; three brothers and one sister. Survivors include her sons Albert Amati (Patricia), Laurence Amati (Deborah), Bruce Amati (Carol Pena); her daughter Loretta B. Amati; her sister Gail Mertens; and her lifelong friend, Marian Sivo of Hamilton Township, New Jersey. She leaves 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Loretta grew up in New Jersey, where she enjoyed visiting her grandmother in the country. She and Tito married in 1943 and raised five children together. Loretta also cared for over 50 babies awaiting adoption from the Children's Home Society of New Jersey over many years. Loretta and Tito retired to New Mexico in 1985, where they touched many lives. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2900 Elks Drive, officiated by Rev. Catherine Lemons. A family graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 5140 W Picacho Ave where she will be laid to rest. Service Information
