Loretta M. Swain, 74, of Las Cruces, NM died Sunday December 17, 2006. She was born August 23, 1932 in Durante, OK to John and Sallie Collier. Loretta M. Swain, 74, of Las Cruces, NM died Sunday December 17, 2006. She was born August 23, 1932 in Durante, OK to John and Sallie Collier. Loretta was a very active member of her church the Greater St. John Church of God in Christ, where she served on the gift committee, and the mothers board. She is survived by three sons, Winford E. Swain of Gainesville, FL; Melvin and wife Lynda of Las Cruces, NM; Steven T. Swain of Las Cruces, NM; two daughters, Naomi R. Malm and husband Bruce of Albuquerque, NM; and Patricia A. Clark and husband Bill of Las Cruces, NM. Loretta is also survived by one brother, Elvin Collier of Moriarty, NM; six sisters, Louise Pickett of Hobbs, NM; Leona Newell of Anderson, IN; Ellen Adams of Albuquerque, NM; Liela Gerloff of Alexandria, IN; Inez Crawley of Los Lunas, NM; Gladys Parker of Fairacres NM; and by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Aaron Collier, Aymon Collier, and Mathew Collier, one sister, Oleta Lois Swain, and one grandchild Michael Trainor. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Friday December 22, 2006 at the Greater St. John Church of God in Christ. The committal service will follow at the Missionary Ridge Cemetery in Mesquite, NM.
