Lorna "JO" Saari, 81, of Las Cruces, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007. She was born on Sept. 23, 1925 in Abernathy, Texas to Harlow and Jessie Neis. Jo had been the owner and partner of Big Jack's and Sons Inc. here in Las Cruces for over 40 years with her loving husband "Big Jack Saari" who preceded her in death. She will be forever deeply missed by all of her family and friends who knew...
Lorna "JO" Saari, 81, of Las Cruces, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007. She was born on Sept. 23, 1925 in Abernathy, Texas to Harlow and Jessie Neis. Jo had been the owner and partner of Big Jack's and Sons Inc. here in Las Cruces for over 40 years with her loving husband "Big Jack Saari" who preceded her in death. She will be forever deeply missed by all of her family and friends who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons John Saari of Las Cruces, Rick Saari and wife Susan of San Angela, Texas and Chuck Saari and wife Laura of Las Cruces; sisters Dixie Barton of Abernathy, Texas and Nancy Allen and husband Dorman of Eagle Springs, Texas; brother Lindy Neis and wife Joyce of Plainview, Texas. Jo is also survived by her 3 grandchildren Heather, Sabrina and Lalonya; great-granddaughter Marissa and by many nieces, nephews and cousins A visitation will be held from 12 Noon till 1:30 PM on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at Getz Funeral Home. Graveside Services will follow at 2:00 PM also on Tuesday and Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Marcus Burr officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice.
