Louie Carreras Jr., 52 of Hatch, New Mexico passed away on Wednesday September 12, 2012 in El Paso, Texas surrounded by his family. Louie was born February 28, 1960 in Gardina, California. Louie loved to restore cars, and was a joker at heart and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially Joseph who he considered his son. Louie is survived by his mother, Mary Carreras and her companion Jose, of Hatch New Mexico, his brothers and sisters, Patsy (Petra) Guzman of Modesto, California, Danny Carreras of Hatch, New Mexico, Judy Carreras of San Jose, California, Ernest Carreras of Los Banos, California, and Stella Carreras of Hatch, New Mexico. Louie is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. Louie was preceded in death by his father Louie Carreras Sr., his aunt Mary M. Aguilera, cousin Robert M. Aguilera, cousin Mina Montez, and his uncle Jose Aguilera. Visitation for Louie will be from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday September 17, 2012 at Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church 177 Hartman, Hatch New Mexico, Funeral services will be 10 am, also at Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church, burial will follow at the Garden of Memories where he will be laid to rest.
