When she was twenty years old living in Robinson, Illinois, she married Paul Marbry and they had one son, Dr. Steven L. Marbry. They moved from Illinois and spent most of their lives in New Mexico, living in Lordsburg, Hatch, Albuquerque, and Las Cruces as well as El Paso, Texas and Costa Mesa, California. Lucille was an accomplished tailor and seamstress and she worked with her husband in the dry cleaning businesses that they owned and operated in both Hatch and Las Cruces. Lucille was also an avid gardener and even a stick would sprout and produce beautiful flowers or fruit under her careful planting and care. Lucille was a member of the Hatch Church of God for many years and Pastor Jim Wood was a close family friend for more than 60 years. Her parents; her loving husband of 70 years Paul Mabry; her son Steven, her sisters Dortha and Raydell preceded her in death. Lucille is survived by her three grandchildren Jon Marbry of Tucson, AZ, Lindy Bridgers and husband Paul of Las Cruces and Lori Brown and husband Kyle of Phoenix, AZ, as well as her 7 great-grandchildren David, Michael and Cody Bridgers, Sean Marbry, Avery, Dillon, and Kerali Brown and her daughter-in-law Sharon Marbry. Two special nieces Kris Heiberg of Portland, OR and Mary Bloss of Snohomish, WA and a special nephew Preston Hamilton, of Chicago, IL, also survive her. A Memorial Service to celebrate Lucille's life will be at the Hatch Church of God on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at 1:00 PM. Pastor Dale Skidmore, Pastor JimWood, and Paul Bridgers will officiate at her service.
