Lucinda Hale Hanna, born June 5, 1940, passed away peacefully from this world on Saturday, May 26, 2012. She was born in Sarasota, Florida to Merritt Ives Wheeler II and Dorothy Mae Raines. Lucinda Hale Hanna, born June 5, 1940, passed away peacefully from this world on Saturday, May 26, 2012. She was born in Sarasota, Florida to Merritt Ives Wheeler II and Dorothy Mae Raines. Lucinda, early in life, toured with Ringling Brothers Circus. She was an avid artist, painting under the name of Lucida Love. She also did modeling and acting. Lucinda later became a Cosmetology instructor, and a certified nurse's aid. She loved to travel through the western states and Europe, and was a member of the Sierra Club, and Optimist Club. Her husband, James E. Hanna, son, David Hale Harting of Sarasota Florida, sister, Sarah Kate Chapman of Iowa, and grandchildren Victoria P. Harting of Seattle and Myranda D. Harting of Orlando survive Lucinda. A memorial service will be Friday, June 1, at 2:00 pm in St. James' Episcopal Church in Mesilla Park.
