Lynette Elizabeth Hoffman Miller

March 20, 1972 — May 10, 2010

After a long and courageous battle with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia, Lynette Elizabeth Hoffman Miller of Sellersburg, Indiana, is finally at peace. She died in her loving husband's arms and surrounded by her loving family in Las Cruces, NM on May 10, 2010 at the age of 38. Lynette was born March 20, 1972 in Albuquerque, NM to Bill and Elizabeth Hoffman. The family moved to Las Cruces in 1980 where Lynette grew up and went to school. She graduated from Mayfield High School in 1990 and from New Mexico State University in 1995 with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism. Lynette was actively involved in the Women's Republican Party and was dedicated to educating people about wellness. She was on the board of St. Joe on the Hill Catholic Church in Sellersburg, Indiana. Lynette's favorite color was green and loved stamping and making her own greeting cards, going to wellness conventions with her mother and sister, and listening to her favorite singer, Toby Keith. Lynette also taught Sunday school and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Most of all, Lynette loved being a wife and mother. Lynette married the love of her life, Chuck Ryan Miller, on September 16, 1995 in Las Cruces, NM. They lived a wonderful life together that was filled with laughter and happiness. On October 26, 2007, Lynette and Chuck were blessed with their daughter, Cambrelyn Elizabeth Miller. Cambrelyn, who is two years old, was the joy of Lynette's life. Lynette is survived by her loving husband Chuck Miller, daughter Cambrelyn, parents Bill and Elizabeth Hoffman, sister Trinette (Jason) Dixon, paternal grandmother Ann Hoffman and father and mother-in-law Dr. Robert and Lois Miller. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Margaret Ann Meny Salopek and her paternal grandfather retired Lieutenant Colonel Harold S. Hoffman. Visitation will from 5 to 7 P.M. on Wednesday May 12, 2010 at Getz Funeral Home where the prayer vigil will follow at 7 P.M. The funeral liturgy will be at 1 P.M. on Thursday May 13, 2010 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father John W. Curran from St. Joseph Hill Catholic Church in Sellersburg, Indiana.
