Lynn A. Southworth, 50, of Las Cruces passed away Sunday Sept. 24, 2006 at Mesilla Valley Hospice La Posada after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 23, 1956 in Las Cruces to Edward and Marie Southworth. Lynn was a graduate of Las Cruces High School. Lynn A. Southworth, 50, of Las Cruces passed away Sunday Sept. 24, 2006 at Mesilla Valley Hospice La Posada after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 23, 1956 in Las Cruces to Edward and Marie Southworth. Lynn was a graduate of Las Cruces High School. She attended New Mexico State University where she studied a wide array of subjects. Lynn was a talented artist who enjoyed working with many varied medias. She volunteered at the Fountain Theatre and was a fan of film and music. She was last employed at the NMSU Bookstore, which she truly enjoyed. Lynn will be deeply missed by all her family and many friends who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter Coy Hassell of Las Cruces; mother Marie Southworth of the family home; brother Edward Southworth and wife Allison of Las Cruces; sisters Dee Bielcik and husband Mark of Las Cruces and Jill Cunniff and husband Ross of Ft. Collins, CO. Lynn is also survived by her nieces and nephews Shanley, KatC. Jaymie and Jared. She was preceded in death by her son Eli Hassell and by her father Edward Southworth. A Celebration of Lynn's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at Getz Funeral Home with Fr. Richard Higgs of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church officiating.
