Margaret Withers

Margaret W. Withers, Marge, 80 passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at home in Las Cruces, NM. Marge was born in 1934 to Luther and Janie Wolfe. She married James (Jim) D. Withers in May 1954. Marge was a "bowling machine," winning many bowler of the month awards as well as bowler of the year. She was very active in the bowling community, and was a founding member of the Las Cruces USBC. She gave freely to Casa del Sol, Gospel Rescue Mission, Toys for Tots and numerous other charitable organizations. She is survived by her husband, Jim, daughter Anita Hall (husband Linzy), Carol Medeiros (husband Paul), and Ann Hanson (husband Rick), all of Las Cruces. She had 8 grandchildren - Michael Withers, Brian Withers, Aaron Medeiros, Nolan Medeiros, Tina Hall, L.T. Hall, Kenny Poor, and Greg Poor, and numerous Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents (Luther and Janie) and her daughter, Linda Poor in 2000, son Jim in 1994 and great-granddaughter Liana Hall in 1994. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Getz Funeral Home followed by interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Ave. in Las Cruces. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Michael Withers, Brian Withers, Aaron Medeiros, Nolan Medeiros, L.T. Hall, Kenny Poor and Greg Poor.
