Mary R. Weiss 91 passed away on August 6, 2016 at Sagecrest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Las Cruces, NM. She was born in Mesilla, NM on January 28, 1925 to Cesaria Loya Lucero and Pedro B. Lucero, one of six siblings. She is survived by her son Joseph R. Rico and wife Jean of Sidney, NE and sister Josephine L. Barncastle and husband Anthony M. Barncastle of Las Cruces, NM. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister Anita L. DiMatteo, brothers Antonio L. Lucero, Manuel L. Lucero, and Joe L. Lucero. She is survived by many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. A rosary will be held on 7 pm Monday August 15, 2016 at Getz Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens at a later date.
