Macario M. Mata

Macario M. Mata, 84 of Chaparral, NM died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, TX. He was born February 28, 1926 in Hill Texas to Vicente and Anastacia Mata. He was a farm laborer as well as a diesel and gas mechanic. Macario was a member of the Catholic Church and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his companion of 7 years, Martha Acosta; one son Macario Mata Jr. of Dona Ana; ten daughters, Susie Fielding of Las Vegas, NV; Frances Chavez of Dona AN, NM; Lucia Escalante of Delano, CA; Irene Garcia of Las Cruces, NM; Teresa Rodriguez of Wasco, CA; Juanita Rodriquez of Skyler, NB; Linda Hernandez of Lost Hills CA; Patricia Martinez of Ridgecrest, CA; Virginia Rubio ; and Carmen Molina of Wasko, CA. Also surviving are one brother Julian Mata of Las Cruces, NM; Eulalia Salcedo of Las Cruces and many grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Beneranda (Bennie) Mata in 1993, a son Michael Mata and a daughter Mary Lou Ayala. At his request cremation has taken place and a Memorial Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at 10:00 am., at Santo Tomas Catholic Church in Chaparral, NM. PDF Printable Version
