Manuel B. Patino (December 5, 1940 - May 20, 2023) Manuel B. Patino, a loving father, and esteemed Army veteran, passed away on May 20, 2023, at the age of 82 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Born on December 5, 1940, in El Paso, Texas, Manuel led a life filled with honor, sacrifice, and love for his family and country. Manuel's dedication to serving his country was evident in his service in the United States Army. He served with unwavering commitment and was honorably discharged, leaving behind a legacy of bravery and selflessness. His military service shaped his character and instilled in him values that he carried throughout his life. Above all else, Manuel cherished his family. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy through his three incredible children: Gilbert Patino, Manny Patino, and Alma Patino. Manuel's love and guidance helped shape their lives, and they will forever be grateful for the example he set. Manuel's passing also leaves a void in the lives of his grandchildren: Gio, Gian, James, and Emma. He adored each of them and created cherished memories that will be treasured forever. Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during the viewing, which will be held on Wednesday, May 31st, from 4 to 6pm at Getz Funeral Home located at 1410 E Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88001. A Mass to honor and celebrate Manuel's life will take place on Thursday, June 1st, at 1pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary (Cathedral) situated at 1240 S. Espina, Las Cruces, 88001. Following the Mass, a solemn military ceremony will be held on Monday, June 5th, at 10am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery located at 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906. There, Manuel will receive a final salute as he is laid to rest with military honors, commemorating his service and sacrifice to his country. Manuel B. Patino will be remembered as a devoted family man, a valiant soldier, and a kind-hearted individual. His love and guidance will continue to resonate within the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. While his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will forever live on in the cherished memories of his loved ones. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a veteran support organization of your choice in honor of Manuel's commitment to his fellow soldiers and their families.
