Marcella Amparan Duarte, 90, life long resident of Tortugas entered eternal life on August 24, 2006. She was born to Francisco Hernandez and Martina Amparan, on June 30, 1916 in Santa Rosalia Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico. Marcella was brought to the United States when she was two years old by her grandparents Rayo and Rosalia Amparan. Marcella was a woman that loved to talk and never met a stranger. Marcella is survived by one daughter Tinie and husband Lalo Ruiz of Phoenix, AZ, one son Carlos Jr. and wife Cheryl of Maricopa, AZ, one brother Cipriano A. Salcido, Three sisters Maria A. Baldon, Victoria A. Baca, and Socorro A. Serna, 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Carlos Duarte Sr., two sons Frank Duarte and Gilbert Duarte, one daughter Irma Dolores Duarte, three brothers Jose A. Salcido, Alfredo A. Salcido, and Luis A. Salcido. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Monday, August 28, 2006 at Getz Funeral Home. The funeral mass is at 10:00 AM on Tuesday August 29, 2006 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers are Greg Duarte, David Duarte, Fred Portillo, Eddie Ruiz, Amador Martinez, and Robert Pagan.
