Marcella Montoya Granado, 82 of Las Cruces, NM passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at home. She was born September 20, 1925 in Mesquite, New Mexico to Tomas and Angelita Montoya. She had worked as a cook at several restaurants in Las Cruces and recently provided day care for children. She was also a member of the Catholic Church. Marcella Montoya Granado, 82 of Las Cruces, NM passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at home. She was born September 20, 1925 in Mesquite, New Mexico to Tomas and Angelita Montoya. She had worked as a cook at several restaurants in Las Cruces and recently provided day care for children. She was also a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by four sons, Tony Granado and wife Zulema of El Paso, TX; Robert Granado Jr. of Las Cruces, NM; Ray Granado Sr. and wife Kimberly of Las Cruces, NM; Jimmy Granado and companion Rhonda Roberts of Frederick, Maryland; five daughters, Angie Lindvall of Las Cruces, NM; Adela Serna and husband Pete Sr. of El Paso, TX; Vickie Romero and husband Rudy of Belen, NM; Olga Granado of Las Cruces, NM; and Lita Romero and husband Earl of Algodones, NM. Marcella is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Carlos; daughter, Annie; brother, Reyes Montoya and grandson, Robert Rice. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 PM on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine and Parish, 3600 Parroquia St. in Tortugas, NM. The Prayer Vigil will follow at 7 PM. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 2 PM on Friday, September 28, 2007 also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine and Parish. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving, as pallbearers will be Frankie E. Romero, Aaron F. Granado, Reynaldo M. Granado Jr, Damiano R. Romero, Pete Serna Jr, and Bob Gilbert.
