Margaret "Margo" Ortega August 12, 1960 - July 23, 2021 Margaret "Margo" Ortega, 60 was called home, on July 23, 2021, surrounded by her family. Margo was born on August 12, 1960, to Pedro and Eloisa Ortega. After graduation from Alamogordo High School in 1978, she joined the United States Air Force and proudly served her country for six years. She retired from Abilene State School and returned home to Alamogordo to help care for her parents. Margo will always be remembered for her beauty and the love of her family and animals. She spent her life caring for others which filled her heart with joy. She was the life of the party and loved to make people laugh. She loved to have get-togethers, always cooking for everyone. She was loved and respected by so many people in all walks of life. Although her passion was caregiving, her true love was always her family. She is survived by her beloved pets, Sadie and Paco and her siblings Alicia Fuentes, Arthur Ortega, and Ronnie Ortega. Margo is also survived by nieces and nephews Sarah & Wesley Marzan, Jerome Gonzales (Claudia), Steven Roberts (Pam), Joey Roberts, Amanda (Josh) Greathouse, Logan (Alexis) and Caleb Ortega, Marissa Ruiz, and Antonio Silva. Great nieces and nephews Audiana Coyazo, Dominic and Bella Gonzales and Adrian, Asher Ortega, Angel Roberts and Jr., Madison, Jaden, and Jase Ruiz. As well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Eloisa Ortega and beloved sister Cindy Ortega. She leaves behind many friends and several fond memories. We will miss you, our beautiful, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Holy Rosary recited at 10:30 am, Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 am, Interment to follow at the Catholic Cemetery. The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Getz Funeral Home for cremation services.
