Margaret "Margie" Flores passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018, in Las Cruces, NM at the age of 70. Margie was born on April 29th, 1948 to Paul & Ernestine Chavarria in Oakland, CA. As a lifelong resident of Las Cruces, NM Margaret graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1966. She loved being active in alumni events and gatherings with her fellow Bulldawg's. Margaret worked for over 30 years at New Mexico State University's Physical Science Laboratory and was a member of St. Genevieve Parish. Margaret was a loving mother of two children, Annette Flores & Eddie Flores, and a beloved wife to Robert "Bobby" Flores. As the oldest of 5 children, Margaret dedicated her life to her family, often putting her own needs aside for the benefit of all. Her greatest passions were tending to her garden and spending time with her dog Penny. Margaret is survived by her Mother Ernestine S. Chavarria of Las Cruces, NM; Children Annette L. Flores of Phoenix, AZ, Eddie P. Flores & Wife Michelle of Lubbock, TX; Siblings Barbara Valdez & Husband Tony of Dona Ana, NM, Rebecca Juarez & Husband Samuel of San Miguel, NM, Karen Furr & Husband Alan of Longmont, CO, John Chavarria & wife Debra of Dona Ana, NM and numerous Nieces and Nephews. She's preceded in death by her Father Paul C. Chavarria of Las Cruces, NM and Husband Robert "Bobby" Flores of Las Cruces, NM. The funeral mass will be at 10 am on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church with burial to follow at Masonic Cemetery. Arrangements are with Getz Funeral Home 1410 E.
