Margret graduated from Iowa State in 1950 and was married June 10 to James Leverett. The couple moved to St. Louis, Mo., and then to Cleveland, OH, Toledo, OH, Pittsburgh PA and finally Buffalo, NY. Marnie had a life-long interest in the theater and appeared in plays in high school, college, Deming and Las Cruces, all directed by drama coach Frank Brandt. When the two Leveretts retired they traveled extensively throughout the country in a motor home for three years before settling in Las Cruces in 1992. Margret served as president of the League of Women Voters of Greater Las Cruces, and as a member of the Branigan Library Advisory Board. She served as a member of the Board of Adjustment. She was also an active ham radio operator (KA2FVO) and served as president of the Mesilla Valley Radio Club. She worked in search and rescue for several years in southern New Mexico.
