Maria Elva Cereceres beloved mom, Abuelita₦friend, was granted her angel wings on September 3rd, 2011. Her final days were spent surrounded by family that she touched throughout her life. Maria's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile and infectious laugh brought so much joy to our family. Maria was a beautiful person inside and out and her presence lit up the room. She gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She loved to sing and play with her grandchildren. She enjoyed music, movies, reading, and spending time with her pets; but her family was most important in her life. Maria is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years Roberto Cereceres. She is survived by her two brothers Pedro and Jaime Carrillo. Her children Jose; Blanca and her husband Danny Martinez; Sergio and his wife Keona; Robert II and his wife Irma; Jerry; Luz and her husband Danny Griffin; Brenda; Danny and his wife Mini; and Gabi Cereceres. Her grandchildren Robert III; Matthew; Sebastian; Diego; Alejandra; Mireya and Arriana were blessed to have her in their lives. Honorary Pallbearer: Jose Cereceres; Pallbearers: Sergio Cereceres, Robert II Cereceres, Jerry Cereceres, Danny Cereceres, Jaime Carrillo and Robert III Cereceres. A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 pm with Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm at Getz Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be given Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 10:00 am at San Miguel Catholic Church. The rite of committal will follow at San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. PDF Printable Version
