Maria F. Dominguez "Honey" was welcomed into heaven on Thursday August 8, 2013. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her four children who loved her deeply. She was born July 11, 1929, in Madrid New Mexico, to Santiago Aguilar and Josefita Roybal. Maria graduated from Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic High School in Bernalillo, New Mexico with the class of 1950. Maria worked for the New Mexico State University bookstore and was awarded from the University for her many years of service after her retirement on May 1, 2001. Maria's greatest contribution to life was acting as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She left her mark on her family by always showing them love and affection when welcoming them into her home. This affection was shown through her love of cooking and entertaining those she loved. Her trademark tortillas were a testament to this. Maria always maintained a love for her family, God, and Our Lady of Guadalupe. She was raised as a Catholic and remained a devout Catholic throughout her life. To show her devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe and her faith, she danced and made the 4 mile pilgrimage for 15 years in Tortugas, NM with Los Indios de Nuestra Se
