Maria G. Reyes

Maria Guadalupe Reyes, 56, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012. Lupe as she was fondly known was born July 17, 1956 in Ciudad, Juarez, Mexico to Francisco and Macaria Rodriguez Reyes. She enjoyed the outdoors, cooking and shopping, but her passion was for her family who will forever love and miss her. Lupe is survived by her loving husband of 41 years Eugenio Gonzalez Sr. of the family home; her children Eugenio Gonzalez Jr. and wife Bernice, Miguel Gonzalez and wife Nancy Ramirez, Maricruz Gonzalez and husband Fernando Guzman, Laura Ruiz and husband Oscar, Araceli Gonzalez and husband Jose Garcia and Valerie Balderas and husband Julio Perez all of Las Cruces; grandchildren Thalia, Viviana, Jose Jr., Oscar, Alexis, Daphne, Eunice, Gisselle, Isaiah, Darla, Fernanda, Amya, Ashlee and Miguel Jr., and great-grandson Oscar. Lupe is also survived by her 6 brothers, 4 sisters and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation will be held from 5 to 6 pm on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 6 pm. A funeral mass to celebrate her life will be at 1 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral. Rite of Committal is at Masonic Cemetery.
