Marihelen Botschen, 84 of Las Cruces died Monday November 6, 2006 at her home. She was born May 25, 1922 in Chicago, Ill to William and Helen Nappe. She and her family moved to Las Cruces in 1964. Marihelen loved being outdoors, working on her yard or rollerbladding with her friends. She was a very caring woman with animals on the top of her list. She will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons, Fred Botschen and wife Doris Jean of Portland OR; Charles Botschen and wife Eugena of Houston, TX; daughters, Patricia Bell of Las Cruces, NM; and Barbara Turner and husband Kenneth of Texarkana, TX. She is also survived by two brothers, Bill Nappe of Naples, FL; Charles Nappe of Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Patricia Ritt and husband Richard of Antioch, Ill; grandchildren, Traci Turner, Kellianne Williamson, Jennifer Kidd, Fred Botschen Jr. Erin Botschen, and Chris Botschen, and by six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Rudenz F. Botschen, sister Alice McLean, and son-in-law Paul Bell. Cremation has taken place and private family services will take place at another date.
