Marion Ruth Coll Rounsaville, 93, passed away July 21, 2010. She was born July 20, 1917, in Artesia, NM to Eva Dawson Coll and Alfred Coll. Educated in Artesia public schools and Texas Women's University at Denton Texas, she was married to Cleve Rounsaville on his birthday, March 10, 1940. The couple lived in Carlsbad, NM with Marion working in the chemical lab at International Mineral and Chemical Company, a potash mine east of Carlsbad; and later teaching at Carlsbad High School, at Otis, a rural community south of Carlsbad and then at Sunset Elementary School. After retiring they moved to Las Cruces in 1971. Marion is survived by her daughter, Marsha Bryant, of Las Cruces; granddaughter, Charlotte Finley, of El Paso, TX; grandson, David Bryant, of Las Cruces; great-grandchildren, Whitney Finley, of Lubbock, TX; Michell Finley, of Waco, TX; McKenzey Finley, of El Paso, TX. She was preceded in death by brothers Britton Coll of Artesia, NM and Lawrence Coll of Albuquerque, NM. Additional survivors included sister-in-law Lu Coll, of Albuquerque, NM, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to thank Ambercare Hospice, especially Kathy, Melissa, Laurel, Julie, and Dr. Duran for their assistance and care of Marion during her illness. At Marion's request cremation has taken place with inurnment of cremains to take place at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made to the New Mexico Chapter of Alzheimer's Association, 101 N.
