Marjorie Ann Phillips,73 passed away peacefully to eternal life at St Josephs Barrow Neuroscience Center in Phoenix Arizona at 12:15pm, May 18, 2014. She was born in Floydada, Texas on November 21, 1940 to Clarence Wesley and Marjorie Lyles Jones. She was the fourth of five children. Ann married Jerry Allen Phillips on March 16, 1974. They lived 40 years together. They spent the majority of their wonderful lives in Ruidoso, NM. Splitting the remainder and into their retirement years between Las Cruces, NM and San Carlos, Mexico. Ann's life work spanned Texas State Mental Hospital (Vernon, TX), Farmers Home Administration (Vernon, TX, Ft. Stockton, TX and Ruidoso, NM), Ruidoso State Bank (Ruidoso and Alamogordo, NM.), Bank of The Rio Grande (Las Cruces, NM) and Mortgage Loan Review Officer (private business). Ann enjoyed playing cards, quilting, traveling and viewing fine art. Ann (Nannie) is survived by her spouse Jerry Allen; children William Dane and Melissa Jane Mount of Marble Falls, TX, Julie Ann and Michael John Hallock, II of Las Cruces NM, Cristi Lee and Chris Anthony Schur of Vernon, TX; grandchildren Michael Jason and Haley Elizabeth Mitschke, Mackenzie Lynn and Raymond Moses Jaramillo Jr., Hannah Marie Mount, Cory Alan Schur, Heather Ann Mount, Michael John Hallock III, Nicola Ann Hallock and Cole Anthony Schur; great grandchildren are: Raymond Moses, III. and Molli Ann Jaramillo, Sofia Alexandra and Scarlet Reese Mitschke and siblings James Randal Jones of Hamilton, TX and Janice Helen Richburg of McKinney, TX. Ann was a gentle, kind and simple woman. She loved and gave to Jerry all she had right up to her very last heartbeat. She cared deeply and loved her children and grandchildren very much. Her greatest achievements are undoubtedly her three children, Dane, Julie and Cristi whom she cherished and loved unconditionally. Ann was preceded in death by her parents Clarence Wesley and Marjorie Lyles Jones her brother Larry Clarence Jones and sister Doris Earlene Hinkle. Services will be held at the Calvary Chapel at Three Crosses, 4301 Bataan Memorial W (Highway 70) May 29, 2014 2:00p.m. The celebration of her life will follow services at 7915 Apache Canyon Drive (Highway 185).
