Martha J. Thoelcke, 95, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the home of her daughter where she has resided for the past 31 years. She had attended Kansas City National Training, 1929-1932, Diploma of Ministerial Leadership, Methodist Deaconess. Martha J. Thoelcke, 95, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the home of her daughter where she has resided for the past 31 years. She had attended Kansas City National Training, 1929-1932, Diploma of Ministerial Leadership, Methodist Deaconess. Served churches in Alliance, Lakeside, Beatrice, West Rockford, Melbeta, Lyman, Nebraska. Bachelor of Arts degree, 1952, University of Northern, CO, Master of Arts degree, 1959 also from University of Northern CO. Taught Home Economics, General Business and Social Studies at Henry, Liberty, Hordville, Elsie, Sunflower, Bushnell, McGrew and Lodgepole, Nebraska. Martha also taught library science and business at Lake Arthur, NM. After her teaching retirements she was a department manager at Montgomery Wards in Las Cruces from 1973-1975. Organizations: Lifetime Member of NEA, National Retired Teachers Assoc, American Assoc Retired Persons, NM Education Assoc, Delta Kappa Gamma, Nebraska Congress of Parents and Teachers Assoc, Order of the Eastern Star, Lifetime member, Bonner Springs, KS, #302, Beta Sigma Phi. She married Fred C. Thoelcke; May 23, 1935 he died May 3, 1964. Her parents and an infant brother preceded Martha in death. She is survived by her daughter Jean-Marie Longmore and husband Harlo of Las Cruces, son John Thoelcke and wife Evelyn of Estes Park, CO; grandchildren Paul Longmore and wife Cissy, Faith Brown and husband Bob all of Chandler, AZ, Trey Thoelcke and wife Adelia of Westmont, IL, Toby T...
