Martha Padilla Lopez, 57 years old, entered heaven on January 27, 2017 in Las Cruces, NM. Born to Guadalupe Acosta and Carmen Chavez in El Paso, TX. Martha had one sister, Mary Jane Duncan. Married to Alfred Lopez. Life long resident of Las Cruces, NM and member of St. Genieves Church. She was a lifelong housewife. Her life was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Her children were her greatest legacy and what made her life count. Survived by ex-husband and life time companion, Alfred Lopez and five children: daughter Melissa Scott and spouse Jeff Scott; daughter Carmen Medina and spouse Martin Medina, Alfred Lopez Jr., Lawrence Lopez and Amanda Lopez and partner Luis Mendoza. She had six grandchildren who she was very proud of- Aaron, Shanize , Rico, Luis Jr., Judah and Aidan. Her brother in-law , Robert Duncan married to Mary Jane Duncan. She also has many neices and nephews. Predeceased by her father Guadalupe and grandson Aaron Michael. Services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 12:00pm at St. Genevieves Church. Honorary paul bearers are Alfred Lopez, Sr. and Robert Duncan. Paul bearers are Alfred Lopez Jr. "Alfie", Aaron Snyder, Luis Mendoza and Martin Medina. Grave side services will be immediately after the church service. Martha will be laid to rest at Hill Crest Memorial. Following with a Life Celebration reception at Elks Lodge.
