Alice Mary Bazan Banegas, entered eternal life on February 2, 2022, and was greeted in heaven by her beloved family who had passed before her. She was born in El Paso, Texas on November 30, 1936, to Zeferino and Aurora Bazan. Alice retired from The Las Cruces Public Schools after 25 years as a secretary and tutoring migrant children. After retiring she volunteered with Nuns, Sister's Lucienne, Rita, Eva, Martha and Rose. A close friend was Father John Tickle who said, "The greatest thing you can do today is to have faith in God." Some of her hobbies that she enjoyed were stained glass, playing dominos and dining out with friends and the monthly luncheon with her class of 1955. She enjoyed socializing and being with her extended family, she considered herself lucky to have so many. Alice is survived by her husband of 65 years Victor Banegas, Daughter; Yvonne Cowart (Bob) of Palm Coast, FL, Brothers; Zef Bazan (Lupe) of Dayton OH, Jaime Bazan Salt Lake, UT, Mario Bazan (Chris) Las Cruces NM; Sister Lettie Tarpley (Mike) San Antonio TX; Grandchildren Michelle Crabtree (William Jr.), Laura Hogg (Jonas), Anthony Banegas (Lee), Great-grandchildren Zoe and Sebastian Sgambati, William III and Zack Crabtree and Aspen Hogg and many dear relatives and friends. Alice is preceded in death by her parents, sons Victor JR. and Chris Banegas, Brother Robert and Rick Bazan, and sister Raquel Bazan.
