Mary Estella Sampson, 91, of Las Cruces, formerly of Arrey, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 15, 2014 at Good Samaritan Nursing Facility surrounded by her loved ones. Mary was born in Fort Collins, Colorado in 1923. She married Marvin Hutson in 1941 and they had one son Albert. Mary was born in Fort Collins, Colorado in 1923. She married Marvin Hutson in 1941 and they had one son Albert. Shortly after Albert was born, Marvin disappeared leaving Mary to raise her son with the help of her mother. Her mother could not take the cold Colorado winters so they became snow birds traveling to Hot Springs to spend the winters. It was during one of their trips to NM, that she met the Sampson family.
