Mary Sanchez Duran, 88 years old, passed away on January 1, 2014 in her home in Hatch, New Mexico. She was born on July 19, 1925 in Marcial, New Mexico. Her parents were Albert Sanchez and Eva Silva Sanchez. Mary Duran lived most of her life in Rincon and Hatch, New Mexico. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Duran, and her son Albert Duran. She is survived by her sister, Josephine Orozco, her son, Robert J. Duran, her daughter Virginia Herrera, seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 from 6:00-7:00 pm at Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church in Hatch, New Mexico. The rosary will follow at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the same location. Mary Duran will be buried in the Hatch cemetery next to her beloved husband, Robert L. Duran.
