Mary Elisabeth Webb Sutphen, 74, passed away on February 13, 2023, in Las Cruces, NM. Mary was born May 21, 1948 in Dallas, TX to CW "Buck" and Lorene Webb. She moved to Carlsbad, NM in 1953 where she spent most of her life. She was a 1966 graduate of Carlsbad Senior High School and a graduate of Northwood University. Mary spent most of her career as payroll and accounts payable administrator for the potash industry. She enjoyed nature, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She had a generous heart and aided in any way she could to help the homeless and refugees. She was proceeded in death by her parents Buck and Lorene Webb, her brother Charles Webb and her husband of 36 years, Gary Sutphen. Mary is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law: Stephanie and Jimmy Shipman of Las Cruces, NM and Tracy and Mark Doubrava of Aurora, CO; her sister, Koni Bosch of Las Cruces, NM; her granddaughters: Samantha, Sydney, Lauren and Megan; her great-granddaughters: Katelynn, Olivia and Kennedy; and her nephew Chuck and nieces Karrie and Sarah. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Mary's name be made to Border Servant Corps at: www.borderservantcorps.org Cremation has taken place and a private family ceremony will follow.
