Maxine Janet Santacroce, of Las Cruces passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at her home with her family. Janet was born May 31, 1941, in Valley Falls Kansas to Frank B. and Maxine L. Maxine Janet Santacroce, of Las Cruces passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at her home with her family. Janet was born May 31, 1941, in Valley Falls Kansas to Frank B. and Maxine L. Robinson and grew up in Payola Ks. Janet's family moved around in her younger years, making stops At White Sands Proving Grounds, and Las Cruces, to Taipei, Taiwan and places in between, Janet graduated from Las Cruces High school in 1959, and attended NMSU, and worked at WSMR.

During in her adult life, Janet lived and worked in Cotati Park, California and East Brunswick, New Jersey, with her family, then came back to Las Cruces with her two sons where she completed her studies at NMSU and worked at White Sands Missile Range until her retirement in 2010.

Janet's post-retirement activities were too numerous to list, she was involved with doll shows and various clubs and charities. Janet enjoyed her retirement years with friends, family, and free time and touched many others along the way, making friends everywhere she went, she will be missed.

Janet was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine L. Woolman; her father, Frank B. Robinson and his wife Leona Robinson; three brothers, Leroy M. Robinson, Frank B Robinson Jr and Ira M. Jones; and her sister, Mary L. Dingman and her youngest son Derrick W. Santacroce.


Janet is survived by her brother and his wife, Richard and Gayle Lucky, her son Stephen Santacroce and his wife Shawna and numerous other extended family members.

To honor Janet's Last wishes, there will be no formal memorial service. I invite you to please privately celebrate Janet's life memory in your own ways. Janet has been laid to rest next to her mother at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Any donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Janet regularly donated to numerous charities supporting Veterans, pets, and animals of all kinds.
