Meyer Stahl, 86 of Las Cruces, NM passed away November 28, 2021, at Mesilla Valley Hospice La Posada in Las Cruces, NM. Meyer was born in Philadelphia, PA to Rose Huttman Stahl and Lipman Stahl on November 7, 1935. Meyer is survived by his wife Judith Stahl, son Lance Stahl, daughter Heather van Doorn, grandaughters Danica and Kendra van Doorn, son-in-law Tony van Doorn, and daughter-in-law Eileen Stahl. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Regina Steckel, sister Edith Maust and brother Fred Stahl. Meyer has many neices and nephews who were dear to him. Meyer served in the army as a cook. Before and after his service he has been a businessman owning a paint store in Philadelphia. He then operated a business selling industrial cleaning equipment as well as parts and service in both Philadelphia and in Las Cruces. Meyer worked practically until the day he died as he loved what he did. Meyer also pastored Southern New Mexico Church of God in Las Cruces, NM. He shepherded the small congregation and had a radio and television program throughout the years. His television program was called "What is Truth" and aired weekly on cable TV. He wrote a published book called "World War 3 Coming Soon!" He coordinated a Roadrunner food location and distributed donated food all over the city. Meyer was always reading and loved sharing his knowledge with others. He was kind and caring and prayed for people readily. He will be deeply missed by all of us. Services are at 3PM Friday, December 17, 2021, at Getz Funeral Home in Las Cruces, NM. A military burial will be held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at a later date.
