Michael A. Sandoval, 55, of Las Cruces, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005 after a long difficult battle with cancer at home surrounded by his family. He was born July 28, 1949 in Las Vegas, NM to Fred Sandoval and Bertha Lucero. Michael had been the owner of Anchor Marine her in Las Cruces. Michael A. Sandoval, 55, of Las Cruces, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005 after a long difficult battle with cancer at home surrounded by his family. He was born July 28, 1949 in Las Vegas, NM to Fred Sandoval and Bertha Lucero. Michael had been the owner of Anchor Marine her in Las Cruces. He was an outdoors person who enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing and tinkering with motors. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his parents Fred and Bertha Sandoval of Rio Rancho, NM; beloved best friend and companion Jane Murphy of Las Cruces; maternal grandmother Josefina Lucero 98 of Las Cruces; brothers Victor Sandoval of Las Cruces, Mark Sandoval of Mandan, ND, Philip Sandoval and wife Beth of Columbus, MT and Jerry Sandoval and wife Dawn of Albuquerque, NM; sister Anita Brandenburg and husband Scott of Fargo, ND; God-Mother Fillie Garcia of Rio Rancho, NM and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Ernesto Lucero; paternal grandparents Fred and Ofelia Sandoval and by his niece Lisa Marie Sandoval. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Monday, Jan. 31, 2005 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7 PM. The funeral mass is at 10:00 AM Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are his brothers Victor, Mark, Philip and Jerry Sandoval and his nephews Mark and Bobby Sandoval. PDF Printable Version
