Michael D. Clelland 75 years of age passed away March 11, 2023 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Michael was born October 23, 1947 in Marfa, Texas. His parents were Frances and Maurice Clelland. He has three siblings Lanny, Sherrie and Janet. Michael married Becky Ripley on May 23, 1969; they have been married 54 years. Michael graduated from Andress High School in El Paso, Texas in 1966 and UTEP in 1976 with an Electrical Engineering degree. He was employed by the Bureau of Reclamation in T or C, New Mexico, Sacramento, California, and Loveland, Colorado. He retired from the Department of Defense at White Sands, NM on January 2, 2003. He was also a member of NRA. Michael is survived by his wife Becky of Las Cruces, NM, his sons Doug, Andy (wife Hannan) and Tim, daughter Darrah, all from Las Cruces, NM. Grandchildren Connor Clelland of College Station, Texas; Joren Clelland, Isabella Clelland, and Aysha Clelland of Las Cruces, NM. He is also survived by his brother Lanny Clelland of Odgen, Utah, sisters Sherrie Hardie of Austin, Texas and Janet O'Hara of Chaparral, NM. Nephews, niece and many friends. Interment will be in the mausoleum at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens on March 29, 2023, at 11:00 am. You are cordially invited to attend. A reception will be held after at the family home, 4845 Grider Rd.
