Michael Francis Reagan, 78, of Las Cruces, died Thursday, January 18, 2007. He was born February 17, 1928 in New Brunswick, NJ to Michael and Gladys Wyland Reagan. He was a retired Major with the US Army serving his country honorably during the Korean Conflict and the Viet Nam Era. Following retirement from Military Service he worked for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms for 22 years. During his 47 years of service to his country his most prized honor was receiving the Legion of Merit Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster. Mr. Reagan volunteered at what has now been named the Michael F. Reagan pharmacy at McAfee Clinic at White Sands Missile Range. Mr. Reagan was an expert in creating order out of confusion. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Lazelle Reagan of the family home; daughters Rebecca Lynn Reagan and husband Jack Barnes, Nancy Elizabeth Reagan and husband David Soules and Kelly Ann Reagan and husband Charles Maloney; grandchildren Kevin Lee Soules and Keith Reagan Soules, Michael John Maloney and Katherine Frances Maloney. Also surviving him is his mother-in-law Isla Mae Chronister of Atlanta, GA. A graveside service will be held at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with full military honors. A memorial service to celebrate Michael's life will be at 1:30 PM, also on Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Las Cruces with Dr. Maurice Hollingsworth officiating.
