Michael Patrick Butler, 50, of Las Cruces took God's loving hand when he heard him call Tuesday morning, Feb. 8, 2005 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM. He was born July 30, 1954 in Las Cruces to Estella and Joe Alex Butler and was a graduate of Mayfield High School in 1972 where he was active in the concert orchestra as a violinist. Michael Patrick Butler, 50, of Las Cruces took God's loving hand when he heard him call Tuesday morning, Feb. 8, 2005 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM. He was born July 30, 1954 in Las Cruces to Estella and Joe Alex Butler and was a graduate of Mayfield High School in 1972 where he was active in the concert orchestra as a violinist. He attended New Mexico State University where he was part of the Symphony Orchestra. He led an active life as a farmer and was a dedicated Lector for San Isidro Catholic Church. Michael was loved for his generosity as a son, a brother, uncle and a friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family survivors include his mother, Estella M. Butler, his brothers George A. Butler, John J. Butler and his wife Margie all of Las Cruces, nieces Mandy McGrath, Chrissie Thompson and his nephew Bobby Butler. He was preceded in death by his father Joe Alex Butler and his loving sister Sandra Butler McGrath. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Friday, Feb. 11, 2005 at Getz Funeral Home where a Prayer Vigil will follow at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Liturgy is at 10:00 AM Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005 at Our Lady of Purification Catholic Church in Dona Ana, NM with Fr. Miguel Macaya officiating. Rite of Committal and burial will be at San Albino Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Lalo Rodriguez, Bobby Butler, Art Banegas Jr, Michael Fierro, Albert Balizan, Chrissie Thompson and Sonya Graczyk. PDF Printable Version
