Miguel Lopez, Sr. 69 of Las Cruces, New Mexico died Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Kindred Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Miguel was born July 8, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas to Juan and Carmen Lopez. Miguel Lopez, Sr. 69 of Las Cruces, New Mexico died Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Kindred Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Miguel was born July 8, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas to Juan and Carmen Lopez. Miguel served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps and was retired from Northrop Grumman as a Program Manager within the company's Aerospace Systems Division. Most recently Miguel was a greeter at the local Walmart store. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ramona of Las Cruces; two sons, Juan Lopez of New Orleans, Louisiana and Miguel Lopez Jr. of Gilbert, Arizona. He is also survived by six brothers, Jose "Joe" Lopez, Alfredo "Freddie" Lopez, Encarnacion "Chon" Lopez, Antonio "Tony" Lopez, Albert Lopez and Martin Lopez; two sisters, Mary Perez, and Gloria Lewis. Two grandchildren also survive him, Corina Lopez and Isabel Lopez. Miguel was preceded in death by a brother, Juan Lopez, Jr. The Prayer Vigil will be at 7 pm on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10 am on Friday, October 30, 2009 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church with the Rite of Committal and burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev.
