Our Loving sister, mother, grandmother and friend, Minerva Marie Mays, 59 of Las Cruces, NM went to be with the lord on Palm Sunday March 24, 2013. She was born to Juan and Eriminia Garcia on May 27, 1953 in Las Cruces, NM. Minerva had a heart of gold, a sense of humor and a wit that could pick up any mood. She quickly gave of herself when anyone needed her no matter what her own personal trials and tribulations were. Minerva enjoyed cooking, making crafts and spending time on the computer but her pride and joy was seeing the smiles of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death her mother Erminia Garcia; husband Richard Mays and granddaughter Vannesa Manzanares. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Guzman (Sam Matkin) of Las Cruces, NM, Michele Jimenez Hill, son, Miguel Guzman of Las Cruces, Michael Mays ( Stacey), sisters, Esperanza Felix (Julian), Eleanor Pantoja (Robert Rede), Jennie Montoya, Doris Murillo (Billy); grandchildren Yelena Madrid, Moises Madrid, Nancy Bates, Ashley Guzman, Julian Guzman, Talen Mays, Step-children, Martha, Melinda, Michelle, Melanie Many nieces and nephews, godchildren and Her precious dogs Buster and Cujo.
