Our dear beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother Minnie Garcia 91, of 1345 Roosevelt, Las Cruces, New Mexico, entered eternal rest to be with our loving almighty Father on May 6, 2014. Our dear beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother Minnie Garcia 91, of 1345 Roosevelt, Las Cruces, New Mexico, entered eternal rest to be with our loving almighty Father on May 6, 2014. Minnie Garcia was born in 1922 in Las Vegas, New Mexico; she enjoyed life to the very fullest until her death. Minnie could strike up a conversation with anyone and within minutes come away with their life story. She was the wife of the late Jose Amador Garcia with whom she shared a living life for 61 years prior to his death, and had 7 children. In heaven, she will join her beloved husband Amador and her sons, Bobby, Charlie, Gabe and Peter, those left to mourn her passing and remember her long life are her daughters, Gloria Sandoval, Isabel "Lisa" Garcia (husband Gilbert) and Arlene Veronica Gamboa (husband Mario). She will also be greatly missed and affectionately remembered by her eighteen grandchildren, forty-nine great grandchildren and thirty-one great-great grandchildren. Minnie also had many nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly as she did them. Along with her family, Minnie had many friends and neighborhood children that treasured her spirit and tenacity. The family would like to extend an invitation to Minnie's services at Getz Funeral Home on Monday, May 12, 2014 with viewing from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm and rosary at 7:00 pm. On Tuesday, May 13, 2014 the Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Health Church with the rite of committal and interment to follow at Masonic Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband in the family plot.
