Miriam Crist Cox, age 95, of Las Cruces, NM died on January 1, 2006. She was born on November 15, 1910 in Montgomery, Alabama to George William and Bennie Mills (Washburn) Crist. Miriam Crist Cox, age 95, of Las Cruces, NM died on January 1, 2006. She was born on November 15, 1910 in Montgomery, Alabama to George William and Bennie Mills (Washburn) Crist. She moved to Las Cruces with her family in 1951. Miriam was an active member of The University United Methodist Church, where she was a Charter Member. She was a very giving person by nature and was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son John "Bill" Cox and wife Lorrie of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren, Amy Gibbs and husband Grey of Longmont, CO, Ethne Cox of Chandler, AZ, Paul M. Cox of Mesa, AZ; and her great grandchildren Patrick and Emma. Miriam was preceded in death by her husband of many years Paul M. Cox. At Miriam's request cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service for Miriam will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 11:00 am at University United Methodist Church with Rev.
