Nazario L Walters, 89, joined our Heavenly Father on March 23, 2016, in Las Cruces, NM. He was born in Bent NM on July 28, 1926. Nazario was a decorated WWII veteran in the US Army, Pacific Theatre. After he returned from the war, he began his Civil Service career at White Sands Missile Range, retiring with 44 years. He was also a member of the BPO Elks for over 35 years. Nazario is survived by his children: Tamorah and Jaime Hernandez of San Antonio TX; Edward and Maria Brown of Littleton CO; and Trina Walters of New Orleans LA. Grandchildren: Christopher Brown, Megan Graham, Amanda Brown, Ryan Carrillo, and Kelsey Melendez. Great Grandchildren: Alexi Brown, Amber Carrillo, Isaiah Carrillo, Kaia Graham, Marley Graham, Emma Cote, and Abel Privette. He is survived by his Aunt Billie and Chuck Cannon of Colorado Springs CO and Numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his caregiver, Estevan Carmona Mancha, his nephew, Ralph Melendres and his niece Lori Walters Romero and spouse Raymond. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years, Wilma 'Kitty' Walters and his son Randall Walters, his parents and brothers and sisters. A rosary will be held 9:30 am Wednesday March 30, 2016 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church where the funeral mass will immediately follow. Burial will be a Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
