Nadine E. Sanchez, 55, of La Mesa, NM died Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center. She was born August 21, 1953 in Las Cruces, NM to Julio and Consuelo Enriquez. Throughout her life, she was a gracious and generous caregiver to those in need. Everyone she knew and met were always welcomed with a big smile and hug. She truly has a special place in her heart for her family and friends. Nadine had recently organized a family reunion that brought together over 300 family members. Nadine was a Court Executive Officer with the Third Judicial District Court and a member of the Catholic Church. Nadine's career flourished within the Judiciary, but was looking forward to retirement after 20 plus years of service. Nadine enjoyed traveling all over the United States and in her upcoming retirement she hoped to explore other countries. Nadine will be truly missed by all the lives and hearts she touched. She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Sanchez Gamboa and her husband Ramiro Gamboa, Jr of Las Cruces, NM; one brother Henry Enriquez of La Mesa, NM; and one sister, Cindy E. Enriquez and husband Vincent J. Diaz of Las Cruces, NM. Also surviving Nadine are three grandchildren, Tiara, Jordan, and Kenae Gamboa as well as nieces and nephews, Tanya "Peaches" Medina, Major Medina, Andres, and Michael Medina, Amber Nicole Diaz, Krystal K. Enriquez, and Jason Angel. Her husband Danny Sanchez; her parents, Julio and Consuelo Enriquez, and one sister, Alice Debbie Medina, preceded her in death. A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 7 pm on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at the Basilica de San Albino, Mesilla, NM with the Prayer Vigil to follow at 7 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 3 pm on Monday, November 24, 2008 also at the Basilica de San Albino. Officiating will be Fr. Richard Catanach. Serving as pallbearers will be Vincent J. Diaz, Edward Lopez, Daniel Alvarado, Jr, Ramiro Gamboa, Judge Robert E. Robles, Judge Jerald A. Valentine. Honorary bearers will be Judge Lisa C. Schultz, Judge Fernando R. Macias, Judge James T. Martin, Judge Stephen Bridgforth, Judge Mike Murphy, Michael Medina, Andres Medina, and Major Medina. At Nadine's request cremation will follow. PDF Printable Version
