Naoma Crosswhite

February 1, 1934 — December 25, 2009

Naoma Crosswhite, 75, of Hatch NM, passed away on Christmas Day 2009 with her family at her side. She was born one of 10 children on February 1st 1934 in Clovis NM, to Arlist and Goldie Chandler. A perennial giver, Naoma raised a family of three, two sons and a daughter, and helped run a successful farm. She was widowed at a young age and went on to be a house mother for the Chi Omega sorority at New Mexico State University. Naoma was continuously involved with her family, helping to usher in each new generation with a great sense of humor, a helping hand, and a giving heart. She was an avid seamstress, reader, collector of dolls and pigs, and a connoisseur of classical opera. She was preceded in death by her husband Zeno Crosswhite; her brothers, Gary, Perry and Junior Chandler; and her sisters, Lena Johnson, Sarah Arnold, Martha and Margaret Chandler. Naoma is survived by her siblings Sammy Chandler and Sondra Chavez, children Toppie Crosswhite, Tobbie Crosswhite and Ozena Franzoy, her six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday the 28th of December at 11 AM, in the Adam's Street Church of Christ in Hatch New Mexico. PDF Printable Version
