NATALIA VALLES LOZANO Formally from San Miguel and La Mesa went to her resting place in heaven on Saturday, October 7, 2006. She was born January 5th, 1920 the eleventh of sixteen children that Jose Valles and Tomasita Torres had. Still living are her loving sister Isabel "Chavela" Valles Uribe whom she played "May I" and loving brother Cleto T. Valles and loving wife Lupe Rel Valles whom she enjoyed reminiscing about the old times and singing old songs. The atoles from Tia Chavela and Mary Esther Cuaron that is all she had when it was too hard to eat anything else. Left behind to miss her are her daughters; Isela Prieto from Los Lunas; Elizabeth Padilla, husband Fabian from Tome; Martha A. Lozano-Cuaron, husband Richard from Las Cruces and son Alejo Valles Lozano, wife Patricia from Mesilla. Also left behind are her grandchildren that loved her very much and will also miss her sorely are Michelle Renee Hargrave. husband Rafael from Los Lunas; Jennifer Robin Merritt, husband Jason from Virginia, Eric Paul Prieto from Las Vegas, Nevada, Marisol Padilla from Los Lunas. Dominico "Mico" Padilla from Tome, Jaime Padilla, wife Kristen, from Salt Lake, Utah; Jeremias Padilla wife Jenny from Los Lunas, Jaime, Alex Jr, and Francisco Lozano from Las Cruces. Isaac Martinez from San Antonio, TX, Orlando Martinez wife Selena from Santa Fe, Elizabeth Martinez from Mesilla; Crystal, Eric, and Christopher Cuaron from Las Cruces. Great-Grand children Ashli and Steven Hargrave. Aislinn Padilla from Tennessee, Antonio and Maria del Luz Padilla, Nicholas Hunter Martinez, and Mason Lozano. Her brothers-in-law Jose Ortega from Porterville, CA and Manuel Lozano and wife Carmen; sisters-in-law, Adelina Jaquez Valles from Radium Springs, Guadalupe Rodriguez from Las Vegas, Nevada; Enriqueta Bacquier, husband Carlos from Ciudad Juarez; Paz Aguirre from City of Commerce, CA, Aurora Portillo from El Paso, TX, Chata Lozano and Moncerat Lozano. Her Compadres, Crisanta Padilla from Tome; Mary Esther and Isaac Cuaron from Las Cruces; Cheno and Lily Garcia from Mesilla. Many, many loving godchildren, nephews, nieces that always remembered to come bye and see her and reminisce about her chili with rabbit, tortillas, borrachitas. etc etc. They loved her good cooking. Preceding her in death is her loving husband, Alejo M Lozano, sons, Alejo Jr., Jose Alejo, Alberto, and Jaime Lozano, her parents Jose and Tomasita Valles, her brothers Gomercindo, Ysabel, Macario, Modesto, Isidro, and Enrique Valles. Sisters Mercedes Bustamante. Crescencia Perez, Aurora Meraz, Maria Esiquel Plancarte, Maria del Carmen Marquez, most recently Maria del Refugio "Cuca" Trujillo and Maria Ortega. A visitation was held from 5 to 7 on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil followed at 7PM. The funeral mass is today Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006 at 1:30 PM at San Miguel Catholic Church with Fr. Ruben Romero officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at the San Miguel Cemetery. Pallbearers are Richard H. Cuaron, Fabian Padilla, Homer Uribe, Armando Marquez, Carlos R Valles, and Ernie J. Valles. Honorary Pallbearers: Rafael Plancarte Jr., Henry Valles, Eric Prieto, Mico, Jaime and Jeremias Padilla, Jaime, Alex, and Francisco Lozano, and Orlando Martinez. Special Thanks to Home Kare Inc. of Dona Ana, the nurses Irma Felix and Rhonda Lauturner, aide Cecilia Botello, Dr Joseph Ewing, Dr Webb, and Dr Hobert LCDF; Dr. Constance Wash and all of the staff at the Cancer Treatment Center, Dr. Guido Leon, Mesilla Valley Hospice nurses Mary Jane, DeeDee, and Emily and aide Kelly.
