It is with great sorrow and a heavy heart that we sadly announce the passing of our wife, mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, aunt, and the best friend anyone could have in this world₦..Neva Theresa G. Martinez Gamez, Wife of Eric Gamez, daughter of Bobby and Ruby Martinez and mother of Abrianna and Alexei Gamez. Neva was first of all a great and loving mother to her daughters. She proudly and whole heartedly devoted herself to the future and success of her daughters and husband. She unselfishly gave up her dreams for the dreams of her family. Neva's laugh, her smile, her wittiness, her outlook on life and her ability to miraculously appear at others time of need was a God given gift. Neva is the shining star of our lives. Her passing has left a great void of emptiness in the lives of all her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Shaine G. Martinez; Grandfather, Benito J. Gonzalez; Uncle, Ray Martinez; and Aunt Joanne Gonzalez. A prayer service will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 7PM at Getz Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10 AM Thursday August 5, 2010 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank Gamez, Chris Gamez, Billy Power, Chris Sanchez, Shaun Sanchez, and Chuck Valdez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Anthony Holguin and Andrew Buendia.
