Nicholas G. "Nick" Valentich, 62, of Las Cruces died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007. He was born April 19, 1945 in Chicago, ILL. to Nicholas and Genevieve Valentich. Nick was a retired pipe-fitter- welder from the Local Union in Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of Grace Covenant Church, a Bible Scholar, a mechanic and was in the process of building a three-wheel motorcycle, he truly was a jack-of-all trades. Although Nick was disabled for most of his life, he never let that get in his way to use all of his skills to minister to all people in need. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years Judy Valentich of the family home; son Benjamin Wood and his wife Megan of Las Cruces; daughter Bonnie Corbett and her husband Mike of Florissant, CO; sisters Maryann Delinsky, Genevieve Pawlak and husband Erv and Violet Manicki and husband David all of Illinois; grandchildren Nicholas, Daniel, Levi, Jessica, Emma and Nova. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007 at Grace Covenant Church with Pastors Doug Coyle and Conant Carr officiating.
