Nick "Dads" Castillo; husband, daddy, grandpa passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on October 25, 2017 in Hatch, NM at the age of 78. Nick was born on October 17, 1939 in La Angostura, NM to Domingo and Antonie Castillo. Nick is survived by the love of his life Natalie B. Nick "Dads" Castillo; husband, daddy, grandpa passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on October 25, 2017 in Hatch, NM at the age of 78. Nick was born on October 17, 1939 in La Angostura, NM to Domingo and Antonie Castillo. Nick is survived by the love of his life Natalie B. Castillo, son Johnny (Dora) Castillo, daughters Bonnie (Juan) Duran, Julie (Jimmy) Esparza, son Nicky (Samantha) Castillo all of Hatch, NM. Nine grandchildren: Anthony and Arlene Castillo, Quentin, Peter and Natalie Duran, Jimmy Jr, Saul and Lluvia Esparza, Andrew Castillo. Six great-grandchildren Lucas Castillo, Audrina, Khloe and Logan Duran, Azeah and Blayke Esparza. Four sisters and one brother. Nick Is preceded in death by his parents Domingo and Antonia Castillo and granddaughter Adriana "Tunia" Castillo. Nick married Natalie in 1964, welcomed four children into their home while pursuing a career in road construction. Where he retired after 44 years, he kept up a garden at home and enjoyed working at his "ranchito" on his tractor. He loved having his family around while he barbecued and listened to music. A visitation is scheduled Tuesday,October 31, 2017, at 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church in Hatch with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service is scheduled for Wednesday November 1, 2017 at 10 am at Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church with the burial to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. There will be a reception following the burial at the Parish Hall. Father Alejandro will officiate the ceremony. The family would like to thank Dr. Harry Bass, Dr. Kairsp Norshirwani and Mesilla Valley Hospice staff.
