She went on to earn her English bachelor's degree from Notre Dame University and spent nearly 40 years working as a technical writer and editor for several industries in El Paso, TX. Norma was preceded in death by her parents Maria Luisa and Andres Estrada Sr., her brothers Ernesto, Tomas, and Andres Estrada Jr., and sister Maria Inez. She is survived by her husband of 32 years Fred Vejil, who will cherish the memories of weekends they spent in Ruidoso playing the slots she enjoyed so much. She is also survived by her sisters Alicia Gonzales, Berta Meunier, Gloria Estrada and her brother David Estrada as well as many nieces and nephews, stepdaughter, stepson, and step granddaughter. Norma was humble, loving, kind, loyal and generous.
